AT&T Has Cost Me Thousands To This Day Because They Cut My Water Pipes!
December 20 2018:
I still think AT&T should be liable. The right thing to do when they cut my water pipes; should have been to replace the entire water pipe; properly, not just patch it. I suspect they did try to replace the whole thing; even worse than it originally that was on the easement. I think they did this because they were laying the phone line in the same direction.
December 15 2018:
I filled my complaint at www.consumer.georgia.gov a couple days ago.
I also filled out a complaint at http://txoag.force.com/CPDOnlineForm/ just now.
December 13 2018:
I took some photo's and video of the AT&T phone wires that go to my house from behind my house near the north east corner of my house. They are above ground and clearly visible in this section. It comes down off a dirt mound, behind my neighbors shed:
I really do not care about the road at all.
The only reason I brought it up here; is because they are the only ones that returned my emails. I like living on a dirt road. I posted about that on this blog a while ago. The harder it is to navigate my road the better as far as I am concerned, that way the less sightseer's there are.
All I want is for AT&T to pay me back for all the people and company's I paid to fix my pipes and fix my water pipes; the right way; the way they should have fixed it almost 18 years ago
Again please understand this black pipe that AT&T installed that is cut in two places was originally a hole uncut pipe that stretched all the way to my house.
When AT&T cut that pipe it has caused me leaking problems for about 18 years.
In other words whole long uncut pipe = no problems. Cut weird pipe = problems forever.
Here some email's I have sent recently:
Email to: Region 6 serves Texas. EPA in Texas Texas Commission on Environmental Quality; They told me to contact the county.
I have already contacted the Collin County Public Works. It is the same old red tape. There are five full homes on my road full of people coming and going so on and so forth. A very busy dirt road, with holes all over it; in now a very populated neighborhood.
According to the law my road is a public road!
I called Collin County Roads department because I wanted to know if it was legal to drive a unregistered vehicle on my road like a ATV or a dirt bike; in case I wanted to own one. They told me it was illegal because any road with 2 or more houses on it was considered a public road.
You can be arrested by the police for riding a ATV down my road but North Collin Water does not consider my road a public road. Instead of my water meter being at my house it is 800 feet from my house.
Email from Collin County Public Works
Collin County does not maintain your road, I can find no record of right of way dedication so I can’t say that it is a “public” road. You’re asking a legal question of an engineer, but in my experience roads like yours are not considered public.

The problem is that my water pipe was one solid pipe. When AT&T cut my pipe that is what has caused all these problems over the years.
The section where Hackler Plumbing fixed was where the slow leak was coming from. It cost 327 dollars for Starnes Plumbing Repairs to repair it.
I got a chance to talk to my neighbor who lives near where my pipe was cut by AT&T. He is my witness to that when they cut it. Of course my wife is a witness also.
December 11 2018:
I am starting this page because this is killing me; literally. I feel like I am having a heart attack; every time our water pipes begin to leak. Lately, Amazingly; when I pray about it calms me down quickly. Yesterday I had a estimate for 800 feet of new pipe to my house; would cast 12,000 dollars. I am going to have to pay Starnes plumbing, again today to try to fix my weird water pipe for the 3rd time in the same place; today. Hackler Plumbing has refused to try to fix it, even though the last time they fixed it (for free) it is still holding for two years. Starnes Plumbing Repairs will be fixing it one year latter; after they fixed it today. I trust them exclusively because of their experience with the weird black pipe; and they are Christians.

I am going to copy and paste my online Better Business Bureau® complaint that I lost; now:
Consumer indicated they have heard from the company, but the issue has not been resolved. Comments follow below:
I got a email from AT&T Office of the President, It said to call . I called today and got this claim number . I was told the liability group; phone number would contact me within 5 days. That's it so far. Thank you very much for your help.
02/05/2018 Receive Business Response
The AT&T Office of the President contacted regarding a notice received from the Better Business Bureau. AT&T communicated with the customer and shared the details of how to establish a claim. AT&T provided contact information for additional questions, requests, and/or correspondence specific to the customer's concerns. We believe this should fully address his request to resolve the issue.
02/07/2018 Consumer Rebuttal to Business Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I sent photo's and a scan of my bill from the around the time of the incident. I have done everything Sedgwick liability for AT&T asked me to do. I have not heard from them in weeks. Nothing has been done to resolve my water pipe problem at all. If this status is updated I will let you know. For now, all I can say is nothing has been done at all to; "resolve the issue.". Thank you BBB.
02/20/2018 Receive Business Response
The AT&T Office of the President attempted to contact regarding a rebuttal notice received from the Better Business Bureau. AT&T attempted to reach the customer by phone and email on 2/8/2108 and again on 2/20/18 by phone. AT&T has provided the results of our findings.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
All I can say is; nothing has been done so far. I think I got a email from AT&T a while ago. I listened to a very long message from AT&T about 4 days ago on my phone. It did not say anything except Sedgwick was in charge of my case. I got a email from Sedgwick on February 14th that said: "I've received your voicemails. Please allow another two to three weeks for the investigation of your claim."
02/22/2018 Received Business' Rebuttal Response
AT&T's response remains unchanged. AT&T regrets disagrees with our response. However, we believe the information reported to be accurate and the concerns have been adequately addressed.

This does not make scene.
The question still remains are they going to fix my water pipes; that they destroyed?
I fail to see how AT&T's response to my BBB complaint is a resolution. It does not mean anything.
I have been tested at college level with perfect comprehension.
How does this in inadequate response from AT&T; warrant a closing of my complaint?
As a nonprofit organization, our purpose is to open the lines of communication by bringing the consumer and the business together in our forum. The decision to honor a consumer's desired resolution rest solely on the business and operating as a neutral party, we cannot force the business to resolve the issue just as we cannot force you to accept their response. The firm has provided a final response, therefore; your next step would be to contact the Governor's Office of Consumer Protection at www.consumer.georgia.gov or seek legal assistance.
We realize that you are not happy with this decision, however in this case BBB has followed system policy in the handling of your complaint. Regrettably, there is nothing further your BBB can do to assist you in this matter.

Sedwick sent me a letter; AT&T would not help me because AT&T laid the phone lines in 1970. This is a lie. There are four houses on my road and no one has a house older that 20 years. I pinpointed the date better. I think it was in 2004. We had service for about one year and we were hearing other people talking on our line. After about one year of complaining they laid a new line though someones property to my house. I felt from the beginning AT&T was giving me the brush off.
Now I am going to post the emails:
I have a long running nightmare with my meter since AT&T cut my pipes. I wish I was not a expert on meter reading but I am. I have a BBB complaint going now and so far no response from AT&T.
This is my BBB complaint:
All this stems from Juan who was in charge of running a AT&T phone line to my house from County Road approximately; with a gas powered hole digger. He did not replace the portion that was cut; he replaced yards of it, with a type of pipe that no plumber recognizes. Last time I called AT&T to fix it; they accused me of lying to them about the location of the broken pipe. When I went out there to see why AT&T broke my water pipe 15 years ago; this guy had yards of pipe. I believe he replaced the whole pipe and reconnected it many times, not just in one place, but in multiple places. My problem has always been Juan has never been able to be contacted; ever. I can tell you for sure he does not speak English. Please feel free to contact AT&T on my behalf. Trying to contact AT&T about this specific problem is not easy. Starnes tried to fix a leak for the 8th time on Thanksgiving and it leaked the next day. We have to pay North Collin Water Supply Corporation every time this happens!
I want AT&T to replace the entire weird black pipe that I a have spent thousands to attempt to fix. mostly with Starnes Plumbing Repairs I would be easy to do with a hole digger. I live about 25 yards from County Road and this is about the 8th time my water pipes burst and it is up to me to fix them. My wife (a US Army veteran of Fort Hood Texas) and I had no water Thanksgiving and still have no water now!
I sent this along with other emails to my representatives:
Do you know what it is like when you have no water to your house? You question whether you live in civilization. You ask yourself; is this America? I live about 25 yards from County Road and this is about the 8th time my water pipes burst and it is up to me to fix them. Up to me? On a Saturday? I have spent well over 1,000 dollars for this type of anomaly, over the past 15 years; I have lived here in the unincorporated aria of Collin County for over 15 years now. This is not right. I have never found one plumber that specializes in under ground pipes leading to a house. Does this mean we all have to live directly on the county roads? That is a dictatorship. If a village in Africa or any where in the world; has no water in their town; it is front page news. I have no water in my house for multiple days for the 10th time in a period of 15 years, and no one cares? That is not right. That is not America! All this stems from Juan who was in charge of running a AT&T phone line to my house from County Road approximately; with a gas powered hole digger. He did not replace the portion that was cut; he replaced yards of it, with a type of pipe that no plumber recognizes. I hope that someday there would be a law or bill passed for senior citizens that need help with water leaks like this.
It is very expensive and very strenuous to deal with. It has cost me well over $2,000.00 with paying plumbers and paying North Collin Water Supply Corporation.
I have recently injured my back also digging up the leaking water pipe.
This is Un-American and not right! from http://www.elcivics.com/us_declaration_preamble.html
I have been in contact with Sedgwick by email about 20 times in the past 2 months since I opened my BBB complain.
I have not received a notice of denial of my claim.
More useful info about my case:
See Attached image of how many times I have emailed and received emails fro Sedwick called emails from to at&t and me
I am sending you a copy of our AT&T Bill at the time and a photo of where the damage took place.
See Attached photo's called copy of AT&T bill and photo for Sedgwick liability att
See attached photo called water pipes
I am sending you what I believe AT&T put in as my water pipe. You can see the identifying markings. The white pipe is what the water pipe looks like that I have along the road up to about where AT&T choice to put my my water pipe along the same line they dug for my phone line, on someone else's property.
I hope you guys have a record of the time you guys cut my water pipes I am sure that will help. I have been emailing everyone from the governor to the local water people here in McKinney. I do not want anyone digging up the pipes I have spent years and thousands of dollars repairing my water pipes. I can show you a sample of the pipe. After you are done connecting to my house you can dig up the old pipes as much as you want.
If you could get me a lawyer to make AT&T fix my water pipes that would be great.
OK. The good thing is all the latest repairs I have made on my water pipes are holding up good so far.
That last time really hurt us in this past November; they used to charge 250 dollars, but this past time cost 420 dollars.
We were with out water on and off from mid November to mid December.
We had no water on Thanksgiving.
I think that is what made me finally complain about it to AT&T, who started it all; with that black pipe.
OK,. I got your call but would rather communicate by email; to save money on minutes for our phone. I have gone through allot of trouble to prove my case, I hope it is worthy of your approval. There has to be some kind of record of the cutting of my water pipes unless it was glossed over or hidden. I had to be on the phone constantly back then to get them to fix the first time and the second time it broke about a couple weeks after they came here.
Imagine not having water in your house? When you do not have water in your house; that house is not a home, in my opinion.
